LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas high school was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a firearm was located on campus.
A letter sent to parents from Sierra Vista High School said that the lockdown was initiated due to police activity nearby.
According to Clark County School District, police conducted a vehicle stop in the school’s parking lot and located a firearm inside the vehicle.
The adult driver of the vehicle was arrested and police say there is no current threat to the school.
