LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The skyline of Henderson is about to change. A billion-dollar project is underway, with two massive high-rises being built right next to Black Mountain.
The developers are sharing the timeline of the Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas with FOX5, including when they expect construction to go vertical. FOX5 is also hearing reactions from neighbors about the construction now transforming the mountain.
“We are well on our way and we are excited for this building to come out of the ground,” shared Craig Eddins, Executive Vice President of Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas.
The FOX5 Drone flew next to Black Mountain over the site of what will be the first high rises in Henderson. Two towers are being built on the side of a mountain. The foundations have been dug out and the concrete is about to be poured. By this fall, construction will be vertical. By 2026, it will be ready for residents to move into the luxury property. It is one of only a handful of Four Seasons locations worldwide that is exclusively residential.
“There’s Dubai, Beverly Hills, Morocco, Istanbul, London, and Henderson,” explained Eddins. The project started three years ago but is now switched into high gear.
“During Covid, one of the developers was becoming an empty nester… He and his wife wanted to get rid of their single family home and simplify their life,” Eddins recounted. When the developer couldn’t find what they wanted, they decided to build it.
“Conversation started with Mr. McDonald here at McDonald Highlands and the Four Seasons Residences was born,” Eddins revealed. The residences are 45% sold even before the foundations have been laid.
“It is going to look beautiful up there and to be able to see that it is going to be nice,” said Jahmon Haylock who lives nearby. While some neighbors are excited at something equivalent to a Strip resort being built in Henderson, others aren’t happy to see the mountain being changed forever.
“I don’t like it. I think it ruins the beauty of this city,” Amber Ramsey contended. The developers say the property with sweeping views of the Vegas Valley is designed not to take away from them.
“It was thoughtfully designed and incorporated into the hillside where it doesn’t peak over the mountain top and the coloration of the building makes it blend seamlessly into the landscape,” Eddins added. For others who live nearby, the biggest concern is the years of construction ahead.
“I am kind of indifferent. I enjoy this area a lot. I love Henderson. What I don’t enjoy is noise… Noise with construction… So, if I don’t hear that I am fine with development and enhancements to the community,” stated Cody Chula.
The new project will be comprised of 171 high-rise residences, as well a signature restaurant and wine bar open to both residents and locals.
