Bodybuilder Aaron Polites is selling his Gold Coast home
Professional bodybuilder Aaron Polites is offloading his Gold Coast mansion to fuel a dream of taking on Las Vegas.
Mr Polites’ sleek luxury home in a gated community is listed with a price tag of $2.75m, two years after he purchased the newly renovated property from radio host and ex-AFL player Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt and wife Sheree.
The Palm Springs-inspired home on a 1,473 sqm lot in Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island is marketed by Alex Phillis and Zac Palmer, of Phillis Real Estate.

The 35-year-old athlete said he was earning $260,000 a year in endorsements after making the world’s top ten in 2019’s Mr Olympia competition in Las Vegas – the event considered the “holy grail of the bodybuilding world”.
Now 18 months into a post-pandemic comeback, Mr Polites’ much-anticipated return to the stage was derailed when he contracted a bacterial infection before competing in the New York Pro in May.
But the setbacks have only made Mr Polites more determined.

“If I can move to Vegas my bodybuilding can really flourish. All the best athletes live either there or Dubai,” Mr Polites said.
The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms over a sprawling two-storey floorplan, with multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces and a contemporary kitchen with Calcutta marble benchtops and a butler’s pantry.
Upstairs is the master bedroom and large walk-in robe plus ensuite, along with a study, while there’s also an epoxy floored gym fitted with a kitchenette, laundry and powder room.
“It’s super helpful for someone who trains. I can have all my supplements and make my meals in there,” Mr Polites said.
“My plan was to bring in $30,000 worth of equipment. I wanted the stair machine, the treadmill, a full gym set up looking out over the basketball court.
“It would perfectly suit a young family of people who want to get fit and have fun.”

Outside, there’s the newly installed half-size basketball court, pool and al fresco terrace with barbecue kitchen.
As a father of 3-year-old twin girls and a 7-year-old boy, Mr Polites said the estate’s 24-hour security service was a big drawcard for his family, along with golf buggy access to parks and cafes.
“Sanctuary Cove has to be the safest estate in the country.
“The security is next level – if you even burn your toast, they are at your house in two minutes,” he said.

Outside of training at least 12 hours a week in the gym, Mr Polites operates a fleet of concrete trucks and offers high-level online coaching.
He discovered weight training while rehabilitating a shoulder injury from motocross racing in his late teens, and has won many titles over 10 years competing, including seven times Mr Queensland, four times Mr Australia, two times FitX champion, Arnold Classic champion, NZ Pro Champion, and runner-up champion in Indianapolis.
PropTrack data shows the median house price of $1.68m in Hope Island was up 17.2 per cent over the past 12 months.
